Kajol, the beloved Bollywood actress, met our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, at Oh! Calcutta in Mumbai. Whether it was her role as Simran from DDLJ, Anjali from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, or Anjali Raichand from K3G, Kajol nailed each character effortlessly. But before diving into the delicious brunch, we kicked things off with a fun game. We took her on a trip down memory lane with some of her most iconic Bollywood dialogues and challenged her to translate them into different languages. Read on to find out how she did.
Kajol Tried To Translate The Dialogues
The first dialogue Kamiya gave Kajol to translate was from the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, when her character finds out that Rahul (played by SRK) is in love with Tina and not her. The dialogue was, “Mera pehla pyaar adhura reh gaya, Rifat Bi.” Kajol was initially clueless and found it difficult to translate into another language. Kamiya stepped in to help and attempted the translation, “Maajha pahila pyaar adhuraach rahila, Rifat Bi.” Both of them burst into laughter after hearing the broken Marathi. The next dialogue was the iconic line from DDLJ, “Agar yeh tujhse pyaar karti hai, toh yeh palat ke dekhegi.” Wondering what its Marathi translation is? “Zar ti tujha var prem karte, tar ti palat ke dekhegi,” Kajol said. Kajol’s translations in this Bollywood trivia game were hilarious.
After hearing her Marathi version, Kamiya suggested switching the translation to English. Next up was Ajay Devgn’s iconic dialogue from Singham, “Aali re aali, aata tuzi baari aali.” To which Kajol quickly translated, “Yo dude! It’s your turn!” She also had fun translating lines from SRK’s Raees, along with her famous dialogues like “Rahul is a cheater” and the classic “Tussi bade mazzakiye ho,” each bringing out her signature sass. Kajol jokingly said, “They’re gonna sign me to translate movies after this!” Watching her translate iconic Bollywood lines into Marathi and English, in her signature witty style, was truly a treat.

Treated Her To Bengali Food
After the fun game segment, Curly Tales treated Kajol to some of her favourite Bengali dishes. As soon as she heard ‘Bengali food,’ she said, “You know that’s the reason I see you every time, right? Because you’re bribing me with food always!” Kajol is a true foodie who can never say no to good food.
