What Is ‘Fare Se Fursat’ Scheme That Started With The Rewa–Raipur Flight?

Recently, the government has introduced a new aviation initiative that is aimed at making air travel more affordable and easier for passengers. The initiative ‘Fare se Fursat—One Route One Fare’ scheme is on six routes of Alliance Air. Read on to know more about the initiative.

Government Launches ‘Fare Se Fursat’ Scheme

As per a report by Swarajya Magazine, the government has introduced a new initiative with the launch of fixed-fare flights on selected regional routes. On Tuesday, March 17th, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapur flagged off the inaugural flight connecting Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa with Raipur in Chhattisgarh, marking the start of the newly launched ‘Fare Se Fursat – One Route, One Fare’ scheme.

Announcing the initiative, the minister took to his X account and wrote, “Driven by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji’s vision to make aviation more inclusive and affordable, today we flagged off a historic flight connecting Rewa to Raipur. It marked the momentous launch of the ‘Fare Se Fursat – One Route One Fare’ scheme on six routes of Alliance Air.”

What All Does The Scheme Offer?

He also explained the scheme, stating that under the scheme, a fixed airfare is applied across all the selected routes regardless of the date of booking or travel period. This scheme offers passengers great pricing certainty. He further wrote, “Under this initiative, fixed fares will be offered across routes including Delhi–Rewa, Rewa–Raipur, Delhi–Jaipur, Kolkata–Guwahati, Tirupati–Rajahmundry and Chennai–Hyderabad. Passengers will be able to book any seat at a fixed fare, irrespective of the date of booking or travel.”

This scheme forms a part of the government’s broader push to improve passenger travel experience and promote air travel. The minister also said such initiatives are ensuring predictable airfares to make air travel more convenient and affordable, while other initiatives like UDAN Yatri Cafe also offer low-cost refreshments for an enhanced travel experience.

During the same event, new barracks for CISF personnel were also inaugurated at the Khajuraho Airport. The inauguration was done to provide a convenient working environment for CISF personnel.
