On a new episode of Sunday Brunch, our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani was invited by none other than music sensation Dhvani Bhanushali to her 76th-floor home in Lower Parel, Mumbai. During the brunch that featured Gujarati Kutchi delicacies, we spoke to the singer cum actor about her music performances, her journey and much more.

Dhvani Bhanushali Reveals What She’d Do If She Forgets The Lyrics Of A Song

While playing a fun game, Kamiya asked Dhvani Bhanushali about a song she would sing if she’d forget the lyrics of any song. “ABCDEFG…,” sang Dhvani spontaneously breaking into laughter. While she hasn’t done it to date, she jokes about doing it next time if she ever forgets the lyrics of any of her songs during a concert.

Later, she crooned to Alicia Keys’s chartbuster This Girl Is On Fire, another song she’d probably think of singing if she gets a brain fog. Kamiya joked about singing this song to herself in front of the mirror. What song would she sing for Curly Tales? Most sweetly, Dhvani sang I Love You from Salman Khan’s Bodyguard! *We love you too, Dhvani!*

We Relished A Lavish Gujarati Spread At Her Home

Out of all the songs, Dhvani Bhanushali has sung to date, we had to ask her her favourite song. The singer sang it to us instead! It’s Vaaste a song that shot her to fame. The singer even admitted to attending concerts of singers. Recently, she headed to Diljit Dosanjh’s concert in Mumbai and said she loved his vibe. While she didn’t understand everything he spoke in Punjabi, she had the time of her life.

At Dhvani’s home, Kamiya enjoyed a lavish spread of Gujarati Kutchi delicacies. There was Mitti Dal, Tamatar ki Sabzi, Theplas, Dhoklas, Kachoris and White Dhoklas. The fastest-rising pop sensation sweetly served the dishes to Kamiya and spoke about hitting 1 billion views on YouTube, her love for food, her childhood and much more. While she belted soulful melodies for us, we couldn’t help admiring the sensation for her humility.
