According to an article that was recently published by the Hindustan Times or the HT, Kaamya’s mountaineering journey began at the tender age of seven. Her first trek was in Uttarakhand. A decade later, she would go on to accomplish what many experienced climbers can only dream of.

Her impressive ascents include Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Elbrus in Europe, Mount Kosciuszko in Australia, Mount Aconcagua in South America, Mount Denali in North America, and Mount Everest in Asia. She conquered Mount Everest at the age of sixteen, demonstrating remarkable skill and determination.

The final summit of her challenge was Mount Vinson in Antarctica, which she reached on 24th December at 1720 hours or 5:20 PM Chilean Standard Time. She was accompanied by her father, Commander S Karthikeyan, making this achievement particularly special.

This final ascent marked the completion of her ambitious Seven Summits challenge. The Indian Navy expressed their pride through their official social media channels, celebrating this momentous accomplishment.

The Navy Children School in Mumbai also shared their excitement, highlighting how their student had broken barriers and reached new heights, quite literally. As a Class 12 student, Kaamya has balanced her academic pursuits with her mountaineering ambitions.
