Coca-Cola Recalled Thousands Of Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade Cans

According to USA Today, around 13,153 cases, each consisting of 12 cans of Minute Maid Lemonade, labelled as zero sugar formula were recalled. This is because while the cans and the box had a zero sugar labelling, they actually contained regular Minute Maid Lemonade with the full sugar content. Minute Maid is an American beverage brand that usually sells pulpy orange juice and lemonade. Its parent company is Coca-Cola.

A regular can of Minute Made Lemonade consists of 150 calories, made up of 42g of carbs and 40g of sugar. While a can of Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade contains just 5 calories; 2g of carbs and 0g of sugar. So, the amount of sugar in both the lemonade is substantially different. The Zero Sugar drink was created for the health-conscious and diabetics. So, having the target group accidentally consume the regular lemonade due to mislabelling, is a disaster Coca-Cola was determined to avoid.
