You’d have seen reels of food content creators asking their spouses what they’d like to eat. And they’d lovingly prepare the dishes for their partners while giving their followers a peek into the kitchens, the cooking and the recipes. Taking inspiration from this viral trend, a wife asked her husband what he’d like to have and she prepared idli sambar for him. But it’s not what you think it is!
Artist Wife Makes Idli Sambar For Her Husband
Inspired by the viral “Khaane mein kya banau?” reels, artist Rucha Limaye gave her own spin to it. The beloved content creators and artists Chaitanya Limaye and Rucha Limaye have often wowed the Internet with their stunning artwork. This time, Rucha asked her husband, “Aaj kya banau? (What shall I make today?)” In the midst of a digital sketch, he answered, “idli sambar.”
That was Rucha’s queue to get busy on her canvas and cook or rather, paint up a storm. She meticulously played with colours and painted a beautiful bowl of idli sambar. From painting drumsticks to adding the minute detailing of mustard seeds in the South Indian soupy dish, her artwork will leave you amazed. White fluffy idlis are seen sitting in the centre of a bowl steeped in hot sambar. Veggies like drumsticks, sliced carrots and beans pop out of the soup.
Hyper Realistic Painting Impresses Netizens
At first glance, you’d mistake it for an edible bowl of the South Indian treat. There’s no doubt that it wowed her husband Chaitanya. He immediately hung the canvas on the wall. But Rucha decided to not just give him a whiff of the dish but serve him an actual bowl of idli sambar as well. And he relished it right in front of the realistic idli sambar painting.
Netizens were amazed by his hyper-realistic idli sambar painting. One Instagrammer commented that it looked more real than real idlis. Another joked that it’s the only way he can stick to his diet. Others expressed their shock and amazement.
Well, we’re craving a bowl of idli sambar right now. Are you?
