We love receiving the notification of salary entering our bank accounts every month. But the message popping up on our mobile screens is just Do Pal Ki Shaanti considering all the expenditures, starting from bills to EMI and more. People living in different cities also need to take care of the rent and it is sadly skyrocketing everywhere. If you are surprised to hear about the monthly rent in Mumbai, we are here to shock you with information about the tiniest apartment in Manhattan.
Get Ready To Pay $1,200 To Rent The Tiniest Apartment In Manhattan
Taking to Instagram, Omer Labock (@realtoromer) shared a video of a small apartment in the bustling borough of New York City. Is the viral video a room tour? Well, it is, but also not a proper room tour at the same time. There is hardly anything fancy or $1,200-worthy to show here. Why am I saying this? Find it out here.

The video begins with a tour of the tiniest apartment in Manhattan. The door opens to a long rectangular-shaped space with just a window, a door, and only one closet. Along with the room, there is no attached washroom or kitchen. In the monthly rent of $1,200 (approx. ₹99,447), you can get just a closet and a bathroom, which too is a bit away from the actual living space.
The bathroom is in the hallway. Anyone renting it will need to come out of the room and walk in the hallway to use the bathroom. This bathroom is properly decorated with the necessary amenities. Surprisingly, a rent of $1,200 for a bedroom and a bathroom in the hallway is also the cheapest.

Instagrammers React To The Viral Room Tour Video
Many of us are aware of the expensive rent of apartments and properties in Manhattan but this video of an extremely small apartment with literally no space to fit enough furniture comes as a major shock for most viewers. $1,200 is indeed massively overpriced considering that there is no extra space, a kitchen, or even, an attached washroom right next to the room.
Shared on February 18, the video has gone massively viral with tons of reactions from Netizens. People are calling the tiniest apartment in Manhattan a closet and not a proper place to live in. An Instagrammer commented, “That has to be Illegal”. Another comment read, “If this is what u get for 1200$ I’d rather be homeless”.
