A Delhi woman who signed up for a Food Darzee subscription in December of last year posted a critical assessment of her experience. Although the trial meals were well-balanced, she claimed in the now deleted post that when the experiment was over, the quality of the food ‘markedly declined’.
Delhi Woman’s Experience With Food Darzee
The woman added that the business only gave her a partial refund after she cancelled her subscription and then stopped answering her questions altogether. She claimed that the meals were inedible most of the time. She added that they began adding more cream and mayo to the food and that the food was frequently unappealing. As a result, she decided to terminate her subscription after sending several texts with feedback, reported News18.
Even though they had agreed to prorate, less than half of the money was returned to her. She shared screenshots of her WhatsApp exchange with the business. In these, the business promised her that her refund was being processed in one of the messages. She was informed that they would update her once they heard from their accounts team, who was reviewing her request.
Company Ghosted Her After Refund Requests
The cost of the 75-day plan was ₹28,000, and she still had 50 days of subscription left. The woman said that the prorated return should be ₹18,666. However, she was refunded only ₹8400. When she asked why the sum was different, she didn’t get a definitive answer.
Food Darzee went silent even though a representative first promised to give her a breakdown of her return, as was clear from their WhatsApp discussion. The woman is still awaiting an explanation for why she received ₹10,000 less than what was rightfully hers. The irate consumer messaged the company, “It shouldn’t take this long to explain how a refund was computed. You should have that information handy and should have sent it to me with the refund in the first place.”

The blue ticks on her messages clearly show that everyone in the WhatsApp group read them but decided not to reply, suggesting that the corporation has ghosted her. Online sentiment has generally pointed to a high level of discontent with Food Darzee.
