World’s fastest half marathon is all set to take place in February 2021. The 15th edition of the Ras Al Khaimah half marathon will take place on February 19, 2021. Organisers have announced that the registration for the same will open in October. More than 5,000 international athletes and runners participated in the marathon, which was held this year on Al Marjan Island.

The Preparations For 2021 Have Begun Keeping The Safety Protocols In Mind
Ethiopia’s Ababel Yeshaneh and Kibiwott Kandie from Kenya won the 2020 RAK Half Marathon. Yeshaneh broke the women’s world record by covering 21.0975km in a time of 64:31. In terms of RAK half marathon 2021, the preparations for the same have already begun. Strict safety measures to safeguard participants, guests and residents, aligned with global best practice and national federal directives are in place.

RAK Half Marathon Hopes To See A Stellar Line-up This Year As Well
Raki Phillips, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority said,
“Aligned with the strong upturn in the Emirate’s tourism and hospitality performance, we are delighted to announce that the Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon will be returning to the Emirate on the 19th of February in 2021. We look forward to hosting the stellar line-up of elite athletes, as well as local families and enthusiasts to join in what is sure to be a memorable event.”
Speaking about the success of the 2020 marathon, CEO of RCS Sports and Events, the organisers of the RAK Half Marathon, Enrico Fili said,
