Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the all-new Mumbai Trans Harbour Link on January 12. Known as India’s largest sea bridge, it was opened to the public on the next day of its inauguration. Ever since the opening of the Atal Setu on Saturday, thousands of people visited to see the bridge. Pictures and videos of the infrastructure and the crowd on it are making rounds on the Internet.

One-Way Toll On The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link Costs…

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Joy (@Joydas) posted about the toll of crossing the new bridge in Mumbai. He also mentioned about it reducing the travel time.

It was on the afternoon of January 14, when the X user shared a screenshot of Google Maps displaying the time taken to travel to Fort from Kalamboli. According to the shared photo, it took 52 minutes in a car to cover the distance of 46 km. Joy stated in his post that the Atal Setu saved the travel time by 8 minutes. He also added that one can cross the bridge and reach the destination by saving 8 minutes and paying ₹250 for a one-way toll.

The X user also posted another screenshot showing the same destination but during a high-traffic time on Monday.

He posted a screenshot on January 15 showing that the distance to cover 46 km from Kalamboli to Fort took 1 hour and 1 minute during the traffic jam on a Monday noon. Joy added that the bridge decreased the travel time by 5 minutes during that time and cost a one-way toll of ₹250. He pointed out the fact that the problem is not the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link but “the exorbitant toll”. He added, “More people would have used and traffic distributed if the toll was reasonable”.

The users on the X platform shared their views on the ₹250 toll on the recently inaugurated sea bridge in Mumbai. Many Netizens commented mentioning that people complaining about the toll on the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link can choose the other road and pay the lesser amount of toll.
