Most of us, unfortunately, cannot enjoy the appetising delicacies cooked by our grandmothers now, however, we can surely try making these recipes at home. Chef Mohsin Qureshi has simplified the process of cooking Yaadgar Chana Qeema and shared a recipe for the same.

Arrange all the mentioned ingredients in bowls and start working to create a bowl of deliciousness. Each bite of this mutton dish bursts with flavours and its aroma steals our hearts all the time. The best part is even beginners can try their hand at cooking this delicacy following the chef’s recipe.

Here’s The Recipe To Cook Yaadgar Chana Qeema

Yaadgar Chana Qeema

Ingredients: 

  • 50g oil
  • 200g onions
  • 50g ginger garlic paste
  • 1 kg mutton qeema
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 3 tbsp coriander powder
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 5  big cardamom
  • 8 red chillies
  • 6 green cardamom
  • 3 cinnamon
  • 200g split gram
  • 2 cup water
  • 250g tomatoes
  • 10 green chillies
  • 50g mint
  • 2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala

Recipe: 

  • Pour oil into a pan and fry thinly sliced onions till they become golden brown.
  • Next, add ginger garlic paste and cook for a few more minutes.
  • Add mutton qeema, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, cumin, cardamom, red chillies, green cardamom, and cinnamon. Mix all the ingredients gently and cook for some time.
  • Once done, add soaked split gram and water and place a lid on the pan.
  • When mutton and dal have cooked about 90 per cent, add tomatoes, mint, green chillies, garam masala, and roasted cumin powder.
  • Once again, put the lid on and let all ingredients cook properly.
  • After mutton qeema and dal have softened perfectly, turn off the gas stove and serve hot.
