And Yami Gautam is one celeb who loves to go on spiritual tours and share memories of the same with her fans. Of late Yami has been visiting quite a few temples in Himachal Pradesh along with her husband Aditya Dhar. On Wednesday, Yami Gautam visited the famous Jwala Devi mandir in Shimla and offered prayers. Soon after, the Uri actor took to Instagram to share glimpses from her visit to the temple with her husband. The famous Jwala Devi mandir in Shimla is a Shakti peetha temple known for its sacred flame, gold-domed shrines, and scenic mountain views.

Yami Gautam Reveals How The Spiritual Feeling After Visiting Jwala Devi Is Inexpressible

It’s always special when you go on a spiritual tour and visit the holy shrines and temples. For Yami Gautam too, the visit to the famous Jwala Devi Mandir was inexpressible. On Wednesday, Yami uploaded pictures from her visit to the temple with her husband Aditya Dhar on Instagram and wrote, “The spiritual feeling after Darshan at Jwala Devi mandir is inexpressible.” And we can’t agree more! Jwala Devi temple is believed to be the first ever temple built by the Pandavas. Legend also has it that Sati’s tongue had fallen at the place where Jwala Devi Temple is currently situated. No doubt Yami Gautam was so moved after visiting the famous Devi temple in Himachal Pradesh.

More About Jwala Devi Mandir And Its Mysterious Eternal Flame

Nestled amidst the Shivalik range of Kangra valley, Kalidhar, Jawala Ji, or Jwala Devi temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas of India. It is believed to be the first ever temple built by the Pandavas and is dedicated to the Goddess Of light. The famous Jwala Devi temple is located in Jwalamukhi in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. A unique aspect of the temple is that no deity or idol is worshiped in Jwala Devi. The temple has a series of natural flames or Jyotis that are believed to be burning for eternity and are considered symbols of the Goddess of light. The best time to visit the temple is from March to April but from September to October, you will find colorful fairs being held here as part of the Navratri celebrations.
