From the 6th of April To The 15th, step into your very own K-drama this year.
Every year, the Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival is held in the springtime behind Seoul’s National Assembly building. The 1,886 cherry blossom trees that line the street there provide a stunning sight when they are in full bloom. There are stores, food pavilions, and festival grounds just north of the street along Han River Park, but the cotton candy-lined street is the festival’s main draw.
Some Tips On Getting To The Festival
Taking line no. 9 of the underground to the National Assembly Station is the simplest method to get to the festival. You can then take exit 6 and continue walking straight until you come to Yeouiseo-ro, the first significant crossroads. There, you can turn right to access the festival area.
The most well-known of Seoul’s cherry blossom festivals is Yeouido, which is extremely packed on weekends. For this and other reasons, we advise going on a weekday, ideally a few days prior to the full-bloom date. Since the main street is only 1.7 km (1 mile) long, walking the whole distance shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes.
The best time to go is around 9 in the morning. You can take pictures of the region largely alone because there are fewer people there. Although the festival itself doesn’t start until 11 AM, you still have time to capture pictures in the beautiful lighting.
