The New York Times has just released a list of the best restaurants in the United States of America. The list was not ranked numerically but was divided by regions. With a total of five restaurants, the highest number were from New York and California on the list. Texas had the second-highest number of restaurants, four, on the list. According to Zippia, as of 2023, there are a total of 749,404 restaurants in the entire US. So, narrowing it down to the 50 best restaurants was a task. The New York Times sent around a dozen editors, food critics, and reporters across the country in order to compile this list.
This is the third consecutive year that the NYT has released such a list. Around half of the restaurants featured in the list have opened up recently, i.e., in 2022.
