India is home to rich history, diversity, and remarkable cultural heritage and identity. The ancient structures and monuments represent the country’s glory, grandeur, royalty, and incredible architecture. These are standing tall for centuries and many places are often explored by thousands and lakhs of visitors as well. To preserve all these, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is launching Adopt a Heritage 2.0.
‘Adopt a Heritage 2.0′ Initiative To Ensure The Historical Establishments’ Legacy
The Archeological Survey of India (ASI) is all set to unveil the Adopt a Heritage 2.0 programme on 4 September, according to a report by Free Press Journal. The venue of the launch event is the Samvet Auditorium in New Delhi. A total of 3696 monuments from different corners of India are being taken care of by ASI. Each of these culturally rich developments plays a huge impact in representing the country’s rich heritage, enhancing the historical legacy, and boosting the economy.

This is not the first time that the ASI is introducing a programme like this to preserve India’s treasures. Previously in 2017, the government agency launched the first part of this initiative. This time, the primary focus of this is to revamp the travel experiences and amenities of the tourists. The revamped version of the 2017 scheme is also going to emphasise the preservation of the monuments.
Corporate entities are attending the unveiling event on Monday. It is expected that they will be involved in this initiative’s functions and help to preserve and enhance the experiences provided by these places with their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
ASI To Unveil An App As Well
On the same day, the agency is launching a mobile application as well. Named ‘Indian Heritage’, this application’s primary function is to represent the monuments from different parts of India digitally. From pictures to locations, amenities, and a lot of details are going to be provided here.
Stakeholders who are keen to adopt one or more amenities of a monument or even one of these monuments can simply apply at www.indianheritage.gov.in.
