Close on the heels of the Indonesian government announcing that unmarried couples could be jailed for indulging in sexual activities in Bali, we have come across some better news. The Indian government is in talks to start a cruise that will let you set sail from Mumbai and go all the way up to Bali. And that’s not all, the cruise will go via Goa, Kochi and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. So, basically you could be covering some of the best island locations of India before landing up in the best island of Indonesia. How cool is that?
Nitin Gadkari, the Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources has actively been looking to promote cruise tourism in India. The underdog way of traveling by sea is one of the funner ways of exploring places and is currently not as popular in India. He said, “I have met a minister from Indonesia. We have initiated the idea of starting a cruise from Mumbai to Andaman & Nicobar via Goa and Kochi. The ships can go up to Bali, Indonesia”.
