You Can Soon Stay In IRCTC Budget Hotels Across India And Save On Travels

IRCTC is trying to establish a network of budget hotels in India. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) plans to build and operate budget hotels nationwide, with a focus primarily on tourist destinations. The company won ₹500 crores in the first phase of the project. The aim behind this is to provide better stay options along with tickets to travelers.

IRCTC’s Discussions With State Government

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation is an Indian public sector company that provides ticketing, catering, and tourism services to Indian Railways. According to the latest developments, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is in discussions with various state governments on the project. Proposals have been sent to each state government.
Exchanges between the IRCTC and the governments of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Uttarakhand continue. The Kohima Budget Hotel project is in progress and is almost complete as the project started earlier. But the Khajuraho project is expected to be completed by the end of the year or January 2023.

IRCTC Is Coming Up With Budget Hotels At These Places

These budget hotels are located in Puri, Lunch, New Delhi, Howrah, and Katra. Budget hotels continue to be built in Kebadia, Gujarat. IRCTC will also build budget hotels in Lucknow, Banaras, and Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Land discussions continue with the government. IRCTC gave some input. IRCTC currently operates a budget hotel under the name of Ginger, Rail Yatri Niwas. These are rental properties. IRCTC plans to acquire or build a hotel in the near future.

The successful implementation of the plan by IRCTC will give a great boost to the Indian hotel and travel industry, and budget hotels are a great opportunity. With the growth of hotels in India, the budget hotel revenue model could help IRCTC
The IRCTC has also sent a proposal to Bhopal in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.
