100 People Went Missing During Eid In Mumbai

This year, Eid fell during the weekend, and about 60 to 70 thousand people visited Mumbai’s famous Juhu Beach on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Every year, thousands of people, both tourists and locals, visit the famous beach during the celebrations.

The Santacruz police informed that during the celebrations, about 100 people were reported missing by their respective families. The reports were lodged at the police help desk during these three days.

The police in the western suburbs of Mumbai have finally tracked down all these 100 people and helped them reunite with their families. Kids and senior citizens are included in the list of lost people from Mumbai’s Juhu Beach.

CCTV And Special Squad Did The Job

Tracing 100 people is, of course, not an easy task, but Santacruz police successfully did it. The Santacruz police gave the credit for this achievement to the announcement system, CCTV, and a special squad. This special squad was created in order to trace lost people.

Senior inspector of Santacruz police station, Rajendra Kane, said that with the help of this system, the police could easily track down the people.

Similar to this, since January 1 of this year, 410 such lost people have been successfully located at the Juhu beach. This was done by a special team led by police inspector Mahesh Bolkotagi, ASI Tawde, and constable Kolekar, all working under the direction of DCP Zone 9 Anil Paraskar. (As per The Indian Express)
