A 369-foot-tall statue of Lord Shiva known as The Statue of Belief or Viswas Swaroopam will be inaugurated on October 29, 2022. During the ongoing festive week, the inaugural of the world’s tallest Shiva statue will take place in Nathdwara, Udaipur.  Preacher Morari Bapu in the presence of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is going to inaugurate this statue. According to sources, other assembly members will also grace the inauguration event.

Located 45 kilometers from Udaipur at Ganesh Tekri, this statue was erected by Tat Padam Sansthan. It is constructed on a hill of 51 bighas and can be easily spotted even from a distance of 20 kilometers. At night it will be beautifully lit, to increase visibility.

The 369-foot-tall figure will be the only one in the world with a lift, staircase, and hall for devotees. Also, there are 4 lifts and 3 stairs that the visitors can use to reach the top.

Know More About The World’s Tallest Lord Shiva Statue

It took ten years to build the statue. 3000 tonnes of steel and iron, 2.5 cubic tonnes of concrete cubic and sand were used in the statue’s construction. Wind tunnel testing (wind at altitude) of this statue design was conducted in Australia. This statue is made with 250 years of durability and sustainability in mind. Also, even winds of up to 250 km/h cannot damage the statue. And, it is coated with zinc and painted with copper to protect it from rain and sunlight.

Also, a fully equipped water tank is installed with firefighting equipment to ensure the complete safety of Lord Shiva’s statue and the devotees who will come for darshan.

Before the construction of the Statue Of Belief, Nepal had the world’s tallest statue at Kailashnath  Temple — the Kailashnath Mahadev Statue, which is 143 feet tall.  India, too, has two more magnanimous tall Lord Shiva statues in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. . Lord Shiva’s statue in Karnataka is located in Gurudeshwar Temple and it is 123 ft tall. And, the one in Tamil Nadu is 112 ft tall. Also, there’s a 108-Ft tall Lord Shiva statue in Mauritius.

We are sure in no time, the Statue of Belief aka Viswas Swaroopam will become a most-thronged tourist destination in Rajasthan, and scores of devotees will make way there to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings.
