It’s no secret that there are new developments taking place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and at a fast pace. One of the major megaprojects in the country happens to be the New Murabba. And now, the New Murabba Development Company has revealed designs for a new stadium. To be located in Riyadh, the stadium will have a capacity of more than 45,000 seats and will be the centrepiece of the brand-new downtown called New Murabba.

New Murabba Stadium To Come Up In Riyadh

New Murabba Stadium is a modern landmark in the sports and entertainment sector that will soon be coming up in Riyadh. The capacity of the stadium will allow more than 45,000 people to be seated at a time. As such, the design of this futuristic stadium is inspired by the Acacia Tree! Yes, layered branches and textured barks have inspired the beautiful design, which is a blend of modern technology and traditions. Promising an unparalleled experience to the visitors once complete, the building area is going to be spread across a massive 1,80,000 m². Yes, poised to be a symbol of Riyadh’s transformation, this stadium will be dedicated to sports events and will also have recreational areas, restaurants, and shops.

It Will Be A Community Hub

Yes, more than the stadium, it’s going to be a community hub! Complete with an illuminated entryway and shaded areas for people together, it’s going to be a lively hub. In fact, the New Murabba Stadium will be built to serve the community for several years to come. This way, it can easily be adapted to host several events, which will include everything from sports competitions to game tournaments and exhibitions. Representing a great future, this shows the government’s commitment towards providing world-class facilities and experiences to not just locals, but visitors from around the world.

At this point, it should be noted that it is scheduled to be completed by 2022. Once done, it will become a symbol of Riyadh’s transformation.
