Are you a cheese lover? Well, so am I! I’d love everything cheesy and luckily for me, Mumbai does a pretty good job preparing all things cheese! Here’s a compilation of the cheesiest dishes in Mumbai that you should watch out for –
1. Cheese Pani Puri, Shreeji
The Shreeji stall in Borivali includes cheese in everything, even chaat! They have fusion chaats, where Italy meets Mumbai! This is an unusual hybrid that combines chaats like pani-puri and sev puri with the likes of pizza and Panini. These unique dishes are a delight because they are so cheesy, you will be left in a cheese-coma for a bit! No seriously! They mix vegetables, paneer, olives, corn and lotsa cheese to make a filling. They then add some pizza sauce and tomato sauce, and oodles of shredded cheese over it. But the actual drama starts when the gentleman there, takes out a cooking blow torch and fires up the dish. What finally churns out is a tasty combination of pizza and pani-puri! The dish takes around 10-15 minutes to be prepared, but watching the entire process is just as fun.
