The World Government Summit is one of the most important events that’s taking place in Dubai. Happening till February 14, this gathering is witnessing 85 international organisations coming together. It’s happening along with 140 governments, over 25 heads of states, 4,000 experts and officials, and 700 heads of major international companies coming together. 1. H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar Talks About Job Creation

H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, who is the UAE minister of the Ministry of Human Resource and Emiritisation in the UAE, addressed the attendees. During his address, he highlighted the significant shift in job dynamics. Yes, he mentioned that there is an estimated loss of 80 million jobs, which is countered by the creation of 70 million new roles. So, he emphasised the need to collaborate on effective strategies for navigating the evolving landscape.

2. Sheikha Latifa Shares Dubai’s Experience In The Creative Sector

Sheikha Latifa Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Chairperson of Dubai Culture, talked about the pioneering experience of the emirate in the creative sector. In the panel discussion that was titled ‘How Can Governments Foster Creativity?’, she talked about the transformative power of forward-thinking governance. Moreover, she also mentioned how Dubai is guided by its visionary leadership, thereby becoming a beacon of innovation and setting global benchmarks through its dynamic strategies.

3. Burj Khalifa Lights With Turkey Flag For The World Government Summit

The Burj Khalifa recently let up in the colours of the Turkey flag, as the country is the guest of honour at this year’s World Governments Summit. Welcoming His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is the President of Turkey, the Burj Khalifa lit up in the colours of the Turkish flag, and it was certainly a sight to behold.

4. Buna Payments Platform Launched

During the World Government Summit, the Buna Payments Platform, which facilitates the clearing and settling of Arab payments, was launched on February 12. This is going to be an innovative platform that delivers advanced payment solutions while also meeting the highest global standards of compliance. Not to mention, the platform underscores its critical role of the payment system in bolstering the Arab economy’s infrastructure. Moreover, it will also enhance their effort towards economic and financial integration within the Arab region.

5. Talks About Dubai Air Mobility

During the event, H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, the Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Dubai RTA, talked about mobility in Dubai. During his address, he mentioned that mobility is transforming at a very fast pace. Moreover, artificial intelligence is paving the way for further development in this world. It’s worth mentioning that during the event, Joby Aviation Inc. also partnered with Skyports Infrastructure and Dubai RTA to launch a taxi service in the Emirate by 2026.
