Do you enjoy bus journeys? Well I do. Though many of you might find it uncomfortable for long distances overnight, I love it. I love looking at the beauty around as you travel through various roads and ghats. The little halts for meals are my favourite too. Well, there are many destinations from Mumbai which can be reached via overnight bus journey, here are 5 of them which you must visit.

1. Shirdi

Who doesn’t know about Shirdi? It is the most known and one of the sacred towns in Maharashtra. It is the home of the great spiritual leader, Sai Baba. The Sai Baba temple here is known as a pilgrimage site and devotees rush here around the clock. Shirdi has the best weather from December to February.

2. Ratnagiri

Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri is a port city with a view of the Arabian Sea. The Ratnadurg fort is the most famous attraction here. If you want to savour the best vada pavs, Ratnagiri is the place. It is also home to the most yummy type of mango, Alphonso or Hapus. Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary, a forested location where tigers are housed, is also located there.

3. Aurangabad

Aurangabad is a city in Maharashtra. It is well-known for the 17th-century Bibi ka Maqbara shrine made of marble and is known as Taj Mahal’s replica. Ancient Buddhist shrines made out of rock can be found in the Aurangabad Caves. It is proposed to be named officially as Sambhajinagar.
