Recently, the Hatta Winter initiative was launched under the directives and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He is the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. This initiative is a part of the campaign, Dubai Destinations. Starting on December 13, the initiative will extend until January 22, 2025, and it will include five unique festivals, and we are here to tell you about it.

Hatta Winter Initiative To Begin In December

Spanning over 40 days, the Hatta Winter initiative will feature five unique festivals that will include sports activities, entertainment, and cultural elements as well. In support of making Hatta a must-visit winter destination, this initiative will shine a light on the region’s cultural, tourism, and entertainment offerings.

Several Unique Festivals

In case you’re wondering about the five unique festivals, they are as follows.

Hatta Winter Festival

This festival will be held in the surroundings of Leam Lake and will feature live entertainment, recreational activities, and cultural programmes. With 120 workshops, 14 activities, and four innovative community events, the festival is bound to be worth a visit. Not to mention, there will also be a majlis for Emirati senior citizens along with two pop-up restaurants, SALT and Sadeem.

Hatta Honey Festival

Celebrating the bee-keeping traditions of Hatta, this will be the ninth edition of this festival and it be from December 27 to 31. It will feature 51 Emirati beekeepers who will be showcasing their products and expertise in honey products.

Hatta Agricultural Festival

This festival will take place from January 18 to 22, 2025 on the shores of Leam Lake. It will support the Emirati farmers who will be given 25 booths along with their five activities.

Hatta X DSF

A part of the Dubai Shopping Festivals, 30th-anniversary celebrations, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in splendid outdoor experiences. It will be running till January 5, 2025, and the event will offer a blend of adventure and relaxation activities. You can expect everything from mountain biking and zip-lining to kayaking. Additionally, there will be a captivating display of fireworks every weekend, coupled with live musical performances and artisanal cafes that will be serving the finest of the seasonal beverages.

Cultural Events During The Initiative

There are several cultural and creative events planned during the initiative. For instance, Hatta Cultural Nights celebrate the unique heritage, cultural richness, and natural beauty of the region. Deepening the public connection to the traditions and customs of the mountains area, it will help in showcasing artistic and creative talents.

At this point, it’s worth mentioning that the previous year’s initiative featured 50 activities and 100 workshops. So, go ahead and make plans to visit Hatta to truly experience the unique winter celebration here.
