Flight Attendant Was Found Dead In A Hotel Room At Philadelphia Airport Marriott
The New York Post reported that a 66-year-old American Airlines flight attendant was discovered dead in her hotel room at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott on Monday. The unidentified victim was found late on Monday at around 10:45 p.m. by a cleaning staff. According to investigators, the woman was found with a cloth in her mouth and was pronounced dead on the spot.
Authorities verified that the woman was an American Airlines flight attendant. Her identity hasn’t been made public, though. She was meant to have left her hotel room two days earlier. Why hotel staff members didn’t enter the room sooner after the woman failed to check out is still unknown. According to law enforcement authorities, there were no obvious indications of a forced entrance or a struggle, and no weapons were found at the scene. The room did contain several sealed prescription medications, though.

The woman’s death was suspicious and the investigation was ongoing, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small. The woman was thought to have died suddenly, he continued. It’s quite bizarre and it appears that there are a lot of unresolved issues.
Officials Are Waiting For An Autopsy
The Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office has received her remains, and officials are awaiting the findings of an autopsy. The inquiry is still ongoing and there have been no arrests to date. American Airlines said in an internal document that the flight attendant passed away suddenly during a layover in Philadelphia. In fact, she had spent 25 years at the airline.
The memo stated that the health of their team members is our top priority. And they will make sure that everyone affected by this tragic loss has the support they need.
