1. Dubai Food Festival

Want to experience the Middle East on a plate? The annual Dubai Food Festival (DFF) spanning over 17 days, offers people the chance to indulge in a plethora of culinary experiences. From street food to fine dining, Dubai becomes a hot spot for food enthusiasts from all around the world. The festival takes place across many venues in Dubai, such as the Jumeirah Beach Residence and City Walk. The delectable event also hosts an event, ‘Taste of Dubai’ were some of the most prominent celebrity chefs from across the world join the festival and conduct live cooking demonstrations for the public. Foodies, this one’s not to be missed!

2. Dubai Sensual Weekend

The annual Dubai Sensual Weekend is back, but this time bigger and better. The 5-day fest gives a chance for people from around the region, to dance with crowds in prominent and breath-taking locations all around the city. The fest also offers classes by renowned dance instructors specialized in different forms of dance. The main dances explored are Bachata, Kizomba, Dancefiit, salsa, Hip Hop, Urban Kiz, as well as the newly introduced, Zouk. There will also be a dancing sightseeing tour, boat parties, exclusive after-parties, Zouk workshops, street dance workshops, and fitness courses.

3. XYoga Dubai

Join a free Yoga festival this weekend, and revitalize your body and mind. The two-day event is the perfect way to de-stress and can be a great outing for you and your family. The fest is happening at kite beach and will provide a large selection of yoga workshops led by renowned instructors.

4. Cheese fest

Cheese lovers from around the country are welcome to join the second edition of the Dubai annual cheese festival. This year, the festival will present various types of cheeses and cheese-based recipes from around the world. The event will also feature live music, unique games, cheese tastings, master classes, and a massive kids corner. Different stalls will be stationed around the event and offering sample-sized cheeses. You can also get cheesy meals at food trucks all around. So get your family and friends, head to the fest, and take some snaps. Don’t forget to say cheese!

5. The Shillong Chamber Choir – Dubai Opera

The Shillong Chamber choir is a multi-genre choir that rose to fame when they won India’s got talent in 2010. They then performed for the former President Barack Obama and his wife, during their visit to India. Now, they’re performing at the Dubai Opera this weekend! Audiences can look forward to renditions of  ‘Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu’, ‘Eena Meena Deeka’, ‘I Got Rhythm’ and ‘Lag Ja Gale’, to name a few.

6. Bombay Borough

A new Indian restaurant, Bombay Borough, offers a wide selection of unique and flavourful dishes. The restaurant prides itself on the reinvention of classical Indian foods, and has some rather unique serving styles. ‘The Gully kitchen’ is a fast casual section within the restaurant that offers Indian fast food, such as grab and go fresh biryani, sandwiches, and even gluten free Dosa. Grab a nice dinner on their opening night this Saturday.
