A Survey Mentioned An Increase In People Booking Travel Insurance Policies
A recent survey by Policybazaar.com on ‘Travel Insurance By European Travellers’ revealed some interesting information about travel trends and more. Mr. Manas Kapoor, Business Head of Travel Insurance at Policybazaar.com, revealed a rise in many European tourists choosing to book long-term travel insurance policies with some new rules for visas coming into action soon.
Indian passport holders now have the opportunity to get long-term multiple-entry Schengen visas for a period of 2 or 5 years. This is a major possibility for travellers who have already taken trips with Schengen visas. The survey by Policybazaar.com stated about a 3 to 4 per cent rise in people booking travel insurance policies for more than 45 days in April 2024. It is expected that the numbers are going to increase, especially because of the convenient visa rules.
Tourists are keen to choose necessary add-ons for their travel insurance policies. They are selecting the most commonly preferred options such as loss of baggage, pre-existing disease coverage, trip cancellation, and adventure sports coverage. Shockingly, the number of users getting travel insurance in Euros has significantly reduced by 40 per cent.

Europe Is In Demand, As Always!
From summers to winters, most globetrotters plan to travel to the most beautiful locations of Europe all around the year. The Policybazaar’s survey revealed how there has been a spectacular surge in Indian travellers looking to enjoy their holidays in Europe’s popular destinations. 82 per cent of Indian visitors are interested in travelling to France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Switzerland.
Exploring Europe is not only on the bucket list of young travel enthusiasts but aged people as well. Interestingly, the number of people aged 70 and more travelling to Schengen countries has increased twice in comparison to the financial year of 2023.
