Sharif’s journey to the summit began with a 73-kilometre trek over icy paths and against fierce winds. Despite the punishing conditions, he remained resolute. On December 31, 2024, he raised the Saudi Arabian flag at the top, marking the culmination of months of preparation. His regimen included daily 10-kilometre walks to boost stamina, alongside a disciplined approach to fitness and mental resilience.
This wasn’t Sharif’s first rodeo in the mountains. His impressive resume includes scaling Mount Toubkal in Morocco, Everest Base Camp in Nepal, and Mount Elbrus in Russia. These earlier conquests fortified his skills and steeled his determination for the Kilimanjaro challenge.
Sharif believes that ambition and willpower are ageless. “Everyone has the potential to unlock their energy and pursue life according to their hobbies and activities, especially through sports,” he shared. His story is a reminder that fitness and adventure can be pursued at any stage of life, provided you put your heart into it.
