Legendary Singer Bappi Lahiri’s fascination for gold is known to all. The late singer had collected gold from all over the world. The gold collection left behind after his demise is thus humongous. In an interview with IndiaToday.in, Bappi Lahiri’s son Bappa Lahiri has said that his father had a spiritual connection with gold. Bappa said that gold for Bappi Da wasn’t just for ornamentation, the singer considered it fortunate. Bappa has also expressed the desire to put his father’s gold collection in a museum.

Bappi Da Had Collected Gold From All Over The World

Bappi Lahiri was the ‘Disco King’ and the ‘Gold Man’ of India. He was always seen wearing gold neckpieces, bracelets, rings and even gold watches. Gold was the part and parcel of Bappi Da’s journey. As Bappa said, he had collected gold from Vatican City, Hollywood and other parts of the world.

Bappa added that the singer’s family now wants to preserve his gold collection. They want to keep his collection in a museum so that the world gets to see his antique jewellery pieces. He has also expressed the family’s desire to put Bappi Da’s sunglasses, hats, shoes and watches in the museum.
