Have you ever been to Heze City? Well, if not, then you should. The city is extremely beautiful, and if you love flowers, especially the lovely peonies, this is the place to visit. Heze city in China is known as the ‘Peony Capital of China’. This year again, a sea of peonies is awaiting the presence of visitors at the 32nd International Peony Cultural Tourism Festival, and you must not miss this. 

China’s 32nd International Peony Cultural Tourism Festival

Heze City, which is situated in the southwest of Shandong Province, has been cultivating peonies for more than 1,400 years. It is renowned for being the largest region of peony production, scientific study, export base, and ornamental tourism in the world, with nine colours, ten shapes, and a staggering 1,280 varieties.

This year, the 32nd Heze International Peony Cultural Tourism Festival will be hosted in the city and will run from April 8 to April 10. It is a breeding ground for both horticultural and wildlife species, as well as the location of an entire industrial peony chain. (As per CGTN)

Heze Is Home To a Variety Of Peonies

Based on its wealth of resources and strong industrial base, the local government has implemented a set of beneficial policies to hasten the planting, deep processing, and brand development of Heze peonies, as well as promote the industry’s integrated development, one of Shandong’s top 10 distinctive industries. 

Heze has created more than 260 different types of peony-related products, including seed oil, tea, cosmetics, daily necessities, and biomedicine. Heze is home to more than 120 businesses that specialise in the cultivation, processing, and export of peonies. 

It will include an opening ceremony, seminars, trade negotiations, tourism, cultural performances, art exhibitions, folk traditions, sports, healthcare, and the Internet festival, among 71 other activities.  (As per China daily)
