England’s Louise Left Liverpool And Settled In Goa

The Curly Tale

Louise Skelhorn was born in Liverpool,  England but found her home in Goa. She worked with EMI music for 12 years in England but fell in love with Indian art, culture and design. In 2006, she got posted in Delhi for work, came to Goa for a holiday and never went back.

Goa not only gave her home. It gave her family too. Louise met Shahid Mohd (Baba) at a shack in Goa. Two years later they were married. Louise Skelhorn today proudly calls herself Louise Mohd. She along with her husband and an 8-year old son run a popular Indian cuisine restaurant, Pink Chilli at Arpora in North Goa.

About Pink Chilli, Goa

The cafe serves delicious Indian cuisine on restored sewing machines and auto-rickshaws converted to seats. Some classic old Hindi movie posters adorn the walls of the cafe.

I am the pinkness of the cafe and Shahid is the Chef

Located opposite The Go Karts & The Saturday Night Bazaar, next to the Double Tree Hilton, this place is unmissable! Owned and operated by the same team that runs the Karma Cafe on Baga: Louie and Shahid Mohd.

The restaurant also serves Indian street food with a twist. Their Vodka Pani Puri along with lip-smacking Tamarind Margarita is a must try! And let me tell you, Raj Kachori and Okra fries are the best starters to start your night of a ‘Goa Story’.

Fill your tummy with their Thali and head out to party all night, because ‘When in Goa do as the Goans do’.
