Aaditya Thackeray: I Get Worried If The Opposition Doesn’t Troll Me

Have you trolled someone on the Internet? It is an easy task to sit at home and type out nasty comments about someone when you wouldn’t utter a single word in front of them. On this delightful Sunday Brunch episode with political Aaditya Thackeray, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, highlighted how trolls and the negativity come with being a public figure. Aaditya Thackeray Is Worried About Not Being Trolled By The Opposition Party

We were on the topic of politics and Kamiya mentioned that being in the public eye, trolling and negativity is common and after a certain extent, the negativity does catch up. So, she wanted to learn how he, as a famous politician, dealt with all the nasty comments.

Aaditya revealed to us that he is fine with people who want to troll him by sketching caricatures and including a proper illustrator credit line. On the other hand, he talked about how a certain section of people don’t want to reveal their identities and are mostly embarrassed about it. They end up trolling him endlessly; this section also includes bots!

What he said next made Kamiya laugh out loud. Aaditya Thackeray said, “Kabhi kabhi aisa lagta hai ki opposition ne aaj troll nahi kiya, kuch galat kiya maine!” He is on the lookout for the trolls to abuse and defame him. That is how he knows he’s on the right path. If it so happens that the opposition doesn’t troll him, he worries that he may have done something wrong.
