Abu Dhabi is a big fan of good food obsession, and this one is served stacked, toasted and dripping with cheese. Introducing Fat Cow, the new deli-style sandwich shop that is taking Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi almost unnoticed. It is not fast food that tries hard to be fancy but offers speciality sandwiches prepared deliberately, quality bread and fillings that would not be reserved.

According to Fat Cow’s Instagram, the sandwich shop smells of thick, hot, and decadent sandwiches being prepared to order.
Fat Cow does not play around with unlimited choices. The menu is small, highly considerate and structurally designed.
The Anthony Bourdain sandwich, created by piling grilled mortadella, mustard, and provolone, is already a fan favourite. Then there is the Pastrami, which has been smoked over 12 hours and is served with Swiss cheese and pickles.
The Philly Steak Sandwich is worth its time. Ribeye, green peppers, onions, mushrooms and Swiss cheese are combined in a thick, juicy, cheesy perfection.
Bread That Actually Matters
Let us speak of bread, since Fat Cow obviously does.
The sandwiches are served on fresh bread (sourdough is toasted). The fact that the outside has a crunch and the inside is soft is important, particularly when you are putting meat, cheese and sauces together. A pepperoni sandwich is balanced with the addition of spicy honey, stracciatella and black sesame and rocca. Sweet, salty, spicy, messy and the best.
In case focaccia is your vice, this is the place. Pepperoni Focaccia with spicy honey and stracciatella, Mortadella Focaccia with burrata and pistachios, and a Bresaola option completed with parmesan, balsamic, and dried tomatoes are all options.

More Than Just Sandwiches
Fat Cow is also a convenient lunch or casual dinner downtown with a variety of burgers, salads, and sides, and drinks.
It has a good Classic Burger, Angus, with cheddar and mac and cheese comfort foods, fries, coleslaw and even lighter salads. They are also serving out matcha and sweets that is more of a bonus than an addition.
Fat Cow fit is worth the ride in case you need a real sandwich in Abu Dhabi.
