After over thirty years, the highly anticipated international beauty pageant is returning to the nation with its most recent edition. The India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) in New Delhi will host “The Opening Ceremony” and “India Welcomes the World Gala” to kick off the pageant on February 20. Watch the world’s largest spectacle take place in Mumbai and New Delhi between February 18 and March 9.

It will be broadcast worldwide, ending in a grand finale on March 9 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The pageant will take place in several locations, such as the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, and 120 competitors from all over the world will take part in charity events and competitions. The news was made at a press conference, attended by the current Miss World, Karolina Bielawska of Poland, as well as prior winners.

Following the poignant theme of “Beauty with a Purpose,” the 21-day Festival will include a variety of events that will empower these young women as change agents and future leaders. Each competitor will have a special media channel on the Miss World.com website where they can showcase their skills and compete for a spot among the top 20.

Previously, Reita Faria Powell, Aishwarya Rai, Diana Hayden, Yukta Mookhey, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas won the tournament. Sini Shetty, a native of Karnataka and Femina Miss India World 2022 will represent India in the prestigious event. India last held the world pageant in 1996. Chhillar was the most recent Indian to win the contest, taking home the crown in 2017.

Since its founding in 1951, the Miss World pageant has surpassed conventional beauty pageants by embracing a unique concept that emphasizes the empowerment of women through community service and philanthropic giving. The crowning moment is the culmination of months of hard work, dedication, and determination.
