Buses in Delhi are all set to get a ticketing system on WhatsApp. Given that it is the most preferred platform for messaging in India, collaborating with them to enable booking bus tickets will make the process easier. Hence, after Metro, Delhi transport authorities are planning on launching a similar programme for travel in buses as well. Here are all the important details that you would need to know about this new system.
Delhi Buses To Get WhatsApp-Based Ticketing System
In a bid to make travelling via public transport in Delhi more convenient, the government will soon launch a system that will allow people to book tickets on WhatsApp. Such a system is already in existence for Delhi Metro and now, it will soon be available for buses as well. The transport department of the city will implement this system in both, DTC as well as cluster buses.
This new move will make travelling on buses significantly easier as you won’t have to worry about purchasing the tickets after you board the bus or worry about having enough change for the ticket. WhatsApp is arguably the most popular messaging platform in India. Crores of people use it every day for all kinds of communication.
Hence, by collaborating with the platform to enable booking bus tickets will make it all the more convenient for people to purchase tickets. WhatsApp is also one of the safest platforms to use and users who are purchasing tickets will not have to worry about their safety when it comes to purchasing tickets online. The program will also make the region more digitised.
