India is celebrating the grand Pran Prathishta ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The first glimpse of the divine Ram Lalla deity is out and left devotees overwhelmed with joy. Ram Mandir In Ayodhya Will Welcome 50 Million Tourists Per Year

The Jefferies report further stated that the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya may unlock India’s tourism potential where 50 million tourists will visit the temple in a year. In a special note, Jefferies states that the Pran Prathishta ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya by PM Modi on January 22 will be a huge religious event. Moreover, it comes with a massive economic impact for India as the nation gets a new tourist spot that has the potential to attract over 50 million tourists per year.

The ₹85,000-crore makeover of Ayodhya with the new airport, township, improved road connectivity, revamped railway station and more will lead to a domino effect. This will lead to more hotels and other economic activities coming up in Ayodhya. Moreover, it will set the template for infrastructure-driven growth for Indian tourism. Furthermore, Jefferies stated that Ram Mandir will create a meaningfully large economic impact. The main pilgrimage site which is spread over 70 acres can house over a million devotees at a time. Around 1-1.5 lakh tourists per day will visit the pilgrimage site.

From An Ancient City To A Global Religious Tourism Hub

The Jefferies report calls religious tourism the biggest tourism segment in India. Many religious centres in India attract around 10-30 million tourists per year. With the Ram Mandir becoming the new religious tourist centre in India there will be a meaningfully large economic impact. This makeover will transform the ancient city into a global spiritual and religious hotspot. Built at a cost of around ₹1800 crore, this temple will benefit multiple sectors like hotels, hospitality, airlines, travel ancillaries, FMCG, cement and more.
