Uber India Launches EV Autos In Ayodhya; Intercity Cabs Next
A report by Business Standard throws light on
Uber India‘s new EC auto rickshaw services in Ayodhya. To offer seamless and affordable transport to pilgrims in the destination, Uber India will launch Uber Go and Uber Intercity services both in and around Ayodhya in the next few days. The intercity option on Uber will connect Ayodhya to all other cities in Uttar Pradesh for tourists.
Moreover, Uber’s EV auto rickshaw service will be made more budget-friendly. It will also have a faster booking rate to accommodate a high number of rides. Uber India President Prabhjeet Singh stated to Mint that they are excited to expand their services to Ayodhya. He states that Ayodhya has made its way to the travel map of millions of travellers. By launching EV autos in Ayodhya, Uber India will enhance mobility options and also increase earning opportunities for the locals in the region.
Earlier Pink Autos Driven By Women Came Up In The City
Uber India further added to its statement that the services being launched in Ayodhya will promote tourism in the city by adding more environmentally friendly, accessible and budget-friendly travel options. The Transport Department in Ayodhya introduced women-driven electric pink autos in the city. On January 22, pilgrims can hop on these pink autos and travel across the city across its various religious programmes. UP CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated these pink autos on January 14.
These pink autos will ensure the safety of women travellers and also offer them a budget-friendly mode of transportation within the city. With Uber India also launching EV autos, there’s another transport option for commuters. On January 22, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will enthrone the divine Ram Lalla deity at the sanctum-sanctorum of the newly constructed Ram Temple.
