The city is home to some incredible food streets and markets that have been serving authentic dishes for years. 1. Teen Darwaza

During Ramadan, the area around Teen Darwaza in Ahmedabad gets busy and full of food lovers. The old city streets are packed with stalls serving Mughlai dishes and Iftar specials. As soon as you step into this market, your nostrils will be filled with the amazing smell of kebabs, tandoori chicken, and warm bowls of haleem everywhere. Popular spots like Haji Tikka, Al Rehmani, Food Inn, and AL-Farooq Omelette Centre are go-to places to break your fast.

2. Shah Alam

During Ramadan, Shah Alam in Ahmedabad turns into a busy food spot, especially for non-veg lovers. You’ll find plenty of fried items and classic Iftar snacks here. Badshah Caterers near New Era High School is popular for its huge variety of fresh and ready-to-eat dishes. Noorani Fry Centre and Al-Hamza Restaurant serve crowd-favourite Mughlai and fried food. It’s the kind of place where you can try multiple dishes in one evening without feeling disappointed.

3. Dariyapur

Nearby spots like Al Baik and other Old City vendors serve tasty non-veg dishes for Iftar. You’ll also find kebabs, biryani and even sweets to end your meal on a sweet note.

4. Kalupur

Kalupur has been known for its amazing food culture for years. With its location close to the Old City, the area gets especially busy during this month. As evening sets in, people step out for iftar, and later for sehri too. Around Kalupur Tower, you’ll find well-known spots serving rich, proper Mughlai dishes that locals swear by. From smoky kebabs to slow-cooked biryanis, every lane here turns into a late-night food paradise buzzing with flavours and conversations.

5. Astodia

Juhapura becomes a proper food hotspot during Ramadan. You’ll find plenty of haleem, chicken biryani, kebabs and shawarma at both street stalls and restaurants. The area is known for its non-veg and Mughlai options, with something for every craving. Many shops and eateries stay open till around 4 am.

7. Jamalpur

If you’re planning a food trail, Jamalpur should be on your list. The area gets busy in the evenings, with stalls serving mutton haleem, seekh kebabs and tasty tawa fry dishes. Many places stay open late till Sehri, so you don’t have to rush. It’s a great spot to enjoy proper Mughlai food without spending too much. From families to groups of friends, everyone gathers here to enjoy good food, warm vibes, and late-night cravings together.

8. Bhatiyar Gali

Bhatiyar Gali near Kalupur is one of Ahmedabad’s most famous food lanes, with a history going back around 600 years. This narrow street is known for its skilled cooks and proper non-veg dishes. If you visit, try bheja fry, liver, bhuna gosht, chicken angaar and tava biryani. It’s a small lane, but the flavours are big and unforgettable.
