Akasa Air Introduced An Air Route Between Bengaluru And Port Blair Via Chennai
Port Blair is the newest destination on the airline’s network. The low-cost Indian airline just launched flights connecting Bengaluru in Karnataka and Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Islands via Chennai and we are so excited to share all the details of this new beginning. Given the massive tourism and travellers flying to Port Blair, the beginning of Akasa Air’s daily flight connecting with bustling airports such as Bengaluru and Chennai is surely a notable step.
According to the schedule, the aircraft will not travel to the destination directly. Instead, there will be a halt in Chennai. Despite not being a direct flight, passengers will not need to change the plane at the Chennai Airport to travel between the capital cities. With a spike in demand for travelling to Port Blair, the commencement of Akasa Air flights is a great initiation for more tourists visiting there.
Akasa Air inaugurated the first flight on this route from Port Blair to Bengaluru on December 15, 2023. It was at 10:35 AM when the flight took off from the Veer Savarkar International Airport and made a stop at the Chennai International Airport at 1:00 PM. It was at 2:50 PM when the flight reached its destination, the Kempegowda International Airport.

Ticket booking for Akasa Air’s daily flights between the Karnataka capital and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands capital is now open on the airline’s official website and the mobile app. Here is the information about the timing for flights between Bengaluru and Port Blair and vice versa.
Details Of Flights From Bengaluru To Port Blair:
- The flight takes off from the Kempegowda International Airport at 6:00 AM and reaches the Chennai International Airport at 7:05 AM.
- From Chennai, the flight takes off at 7:45 AM. Later, it reaches the Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair at 9:55 AM.
Details Of Flights From Port Blair To Bengaluru:
- The flight takes off from the Veer Savarkar International Airport at 10:35 AM. It reaches the Chennai International Airport at 1:00 PM.
- From Chennai, the flight takes off at 1:35 PM and reaches the Kempegowda International Airport at 2:50 PM.
