UAE residents can expect an uptick in temperatures on Thursday, August 13, particularly along the coast, according to the latest forecast from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). Temperatures will reach a high of 45°C and 44°C in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, respectively, with a scorching maximum of 47°C expected in Al Ain.
Temperatures Set To Climb Across The UAE
Wednesday’s Record Heat In Al Ain
The highest temperature recorded in the UAE on Wednesday was 49.7°C, clocked in Al Ain’s Sweihan at 3.30pm local time, a reminder of just how intense the inland heat has been this week, even by summer standards.

Skies And Wind Conditions
Skies nationwide are expected to be fair to partly cloudy on Thursday, with some clouds appearing over eastern areas that may turn convective by the afternoon. Humid conditions are expected by night and into Friday morning over some coastal areas.
Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from southeasterly to northeasterly directions and freshening at times. The observed speeds will be between 10 and 20 kmph and maximum gusts of 35 kmph.

Sea Conditions
Sea conditions will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea, according to the NCM.
With Al Ain pushing close to the high-40s and coastal humidity building overnight, it’s a good day to front-load outdoor errands early. Also, keep hydration front of mind through the afternoon peak.
