All-Women Ticket Collectors On Vande Bharat’s Secunderabad-Tirupati Is A #NariShakti Moment

Rosaline Arokia Mary — does the name sound familiar? She is a woman ticket collector in India who stunned Indian Railways by becoming the first person to collect ₹1.03 crore fines from ticketless travellers. Rosaline Arokia Mary has paved the way of women ticket collectors in Indian Railways. Recently, Vande Bharat’s Secunderabad-Tirupati witnessed all-women ticket collectors from Tirupati station.

Vande Bharat’s Secunderabad-Tirupati Train Has All-Women Ticket Collectors

Ministry of Railways took to its Twitter handle, @RailMinIndia, to give a glimpse of Nari Shakti. It posted photos of all-women ticket collectors on Vande Bharat’s Secunderabad-Tirupati train. In the caption, it mentions that the Vande Bharat Express started its journey with the All Women Ticket Checking Staff from the Tirupati station. The pictures show two smartly dressed women checking tickets of passengers when the train is beginning its journey and later during meal time.

@ramansrikanth replied in the comments section calling it “great”. The Twitterati further stressed on less drama and more actions taken towards cleanliness at the Tirupati station. @ManyuSakthi asked officials to reverse starting points. The Netizen stated that starting from Secunderabad at 6 am and reach Secunderabad at 12 am is useless for pilgrims. He instead called out for Indian Railway authorities to start the train in Tirupati from 6 am and reach Tirupati at 12 am.

More About This Train For Pilgrims

Vande Bharat Express Secunderabad-Tirupati route started its operations on April 9. It has stops at Nellore, Guntur, Ongole and Nalgonda stations. It has one Executive AC Chair Car Coach and 7AC Chair Car Coaches. The total seating capacity of the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express is 530 passengers. The fare for AC Chair Car including catering from Secunderabad to Tirupati amounts to ₹1680. For Executive Class the fare amounts to ₹3080. Also, the AC Chair Car fare including catering charges in the Tirupati-Secunderabad route amounts to ₹1625. For Executive it’s ₹3030.

This Vande Bharat Express train offers a comfortable commute for pilgrims travelling to and from Shirdi. This train, like other VB trains has reclining seats in all classes, automatic sliding doors, rotating seats in Executive class. There are CCTV cameras in all coaches to ensure the safety of passengers.

Well, Vande Bharat Express train on Secunderabad-Tirupati route has set a fine example on #NariShakti.
