A man sets a record for cutting a pineapple in record time.
USA Man Sets Record For Pineapple Cutting
A man from California, Rich Ellenson, has set the record for the fastest time taken to peel and slice a pineapple. The feat achieved through precision and technique took just 17.85 seconds. The video of this record was posted on Guinness World Records’s official social media handles. Here’s the video!
According to the instructions, the pineapple had to measure a maximum of 3.8 cm (1.5 inches) on each side after removing the peel and core. Ellenson demonstrated his skills in the video, cutting the pineapple into equal sizes and celebrating his achievement. Rich broke the previous record of 27.07 seconds set by Oscar Lynagh in 2022.
On this record’s video, the caption mentioned that Rich Ellenson enjoys pineapple, buying three every weekend and eating one a day in a single sitting. However, he has learnt that pineapple contains bromelain, an enzyme that tenderises meat, and excessive consumption can also tenderise the tongue.

Guinness World Record: A Place For The World’s Unknown Talents
The Guinness Book of Records was founded in 1951 by Sir Hugh Beaver, managing director of the Guinness Brewery. It was founded to settle an argument about the fastest game bird in Europe. Co-founded by twin brothers Norris and Ross McWhirter, the book covers human achievements and extremes of nature. The list of records is not fixed and can be added or removed. Public applications can be made by submitting evidence of their attempt, with a response time of up to 12 weeks.
Guinness World Records aims to showcase the world’s best achievements in various aspects. This includes stretchy skin, the world’s smallest dog, and the largest human domino chain, by measuring and sharing information about these achievements.
