Just a few weeks back, the much-awaited Mumbai Coastal Road was inaugurated by Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde. Since then, everyone in Mumbai has been excited to drive along this engineering marvel of a road. And when we say everyone, we mean even the biggest of Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan! The actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his experience of using the Mumbai Coastal Road for the first time and was incredibly impressed! He called the tunnel stretch of the road a “marvel”. Amitabh Bachchan’s First Experience Of Mumbai Coastal Road

Amitabh Bachchan shared his first impression of the newly inaugurated Mumbai Coastal Road on X (formerly Twitter). The actor posted a short video where he can be seen recording the tunnel stretch of this road from the backseat of his car. One can make out how impressed he is by listening to his voice in the video clip. He went as far as calling this new road a “marvel”. The senior Bachchan seemed impressed with how the road reduced the travel time between Marine Drive and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. He added a caption with the video, “Went first time in the TUNNEL – Enter before Haji Ali and out Half way to Marine Drive .. a Marvel!!”

The 10.8-km-long Mumbai Coastal Road has a two-kilometre-long tunnel between Priyadarshini Park and Marine Drive. The actor was travelling by this tunnel in the video.

When Anand Mahindra Turned A “Tunnel-Tourist”

Just like Amitabh Bachchan, Anand Mahindra was very impressed with the Mumbai Coastal Road. The entrepreneur travelled on this road just a day after its inauguration and shared his experience on social media. In his post on X, the Mahindra Group Chairman said that he was a “tunnel-tourist” for a day as he checked out “the newly minted undersea tunnel that’s part of the new coastal road in Mumbai!” He also mentioned that his wait to drive along this road “was worth it!”
