Starting off on December 9 and happening till December 16, Meats And Mountains is an open fire food festival happening in Jebel Hafit Desert Park. While the festival kicks off at 4 PM, therein, you will be able to watch chefs at work, as they prepare delicious meat that has been barbecued to perfection. Not to mention, this annual festival in Al Ain is certainly the perfect place for friends and families to relax and bond over delicious food, nature hikes, bonfires, and of course, entertainment in an outdoor setting.

However, what sets it apart from others is the fact that it offers an opportunity to partake in overnight camping, which lets you wake up to the stunning views of Jebel Hafit in the midst of nature. But before we dive into these accommodations, it is important to take a look at the several food stations that will be popping up here. Yes, featuring a range of live-fire cooking, you will find everything from burgers and tacos to paella and steak. Not to mention, they also have you covered on the dessert front with their delectable options of knefeh and loads more.

While you are here, you can also indulge in a bunch of activities, such as flying a kite and the art trails. As evident from its name, kites in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colour will take up the sky, creating a new ritual for the annual event. While the art trail is a hike that blends nature and culture.     The chic space combines modern comfort with glamping by offering spacious living areas, stylish exteriors, and a range of selected amenities. It can house two adults and two kids, and the wide French windows offer a stunning view of the Jebel Hafit mountain.
  • Heritage Tents
    This also offers occupancy for two adults and two kids; and it is basically a rustic native tent, which honours the surrounding desert scape.
  • Safari Tents
    Offering a hands-on active camping experience, it’s perfect for people who wish to experience nature and are adventure seekers. This makes it raw and authentic, thereby blending with its surroundings.
  • Orange Modern Tents
    As you get to experience the simplicity of nomadic tents, there is seating space with two simple chairs, which is enhanced by rechargeable lights and mattresses for two. It comes in two sizes, the big one, which offers occupancy for four people and the small one offers occupancy for two people and both of these feature 10 tents.
  • Public Campsite

So, go ahead and book your tickets on the website, which starts at AED90, which is a ticket for children between the ages of 5 and 12. While the same for adults costs AED360. It should be noted that a ticket for toddlers is priced at AED1.
