Anand Mahindra Stunned By The New Pune-Nashik Bypass; Calls It ‘Fantastic’

There have been several infrastructural progressions in Maharashtra. The all-new Pune-Nashik highway bypass is now complete and the residents of both these cities could not be more elated. Union Road Transport Minister Union minister Nitin Gadkari shared pictures of the Pune bypass and it looks everything stunning. Replying to Gadkari’s tweet Anand Mahindra said, “Fantastic. We have been waiting for this… ”

The New Bypass Will Transfer Of Goods Between Cities

He further added, “Not everyone is aware of how important logistics is for ensuring availability & good pricing of the food we eat!” The new bypass will help agricultural products reach the Mumbai-Pune market easily. Nitin Gadkari had earlier said speaking at the 16th annual conference on ‘Road Development in India’ that his aim was to construct 60,000km of the world-class national highway by 2024 at the rate of 40 km per day. India Has The Second Largest Road Network In The World

Did you know that India has about 63 lakh kilometre of road network, which is the second-largest in the world? Gadkari said further said that “The government is investing 1.4 trillion dollars ( ₹111 lakh crores) in infrastructure development through National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP). The government has increased year-on-year infrastructure Capex by 34 per cent to ₹5.54 lakh crore this year.”

India’s Longest Expressway To Cut Mumbai & Delhi Distance By 220 Km

Coming to the roads, the distance between Delhi and Mumbai will drastically reduce by 220Km with the upcoming Greenfield Expressway, which will also be the longest in the country. The new Mumbai-Delhi Expressway will span 1,275 km; it will be an eight-lane highway with the provisions to expand it into 12-lanes in the future. At the same time, this highway will allow vehicles to run at a speed of 120 km per hour. While the annual plan for national highway works in Maharashtra was approved for ₹2,727 crores, this project’s cost has been stretched to ₹5801 crore now.
