Come July, Indian Passport & Visa Services In UAE Set For A Major Change; Details Inside

If you’re an Indian resident in the UAE and need to renew a passport, apply for a visa or sort out other consular paperwork, a change is coming next year. The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi has confirmed that a new company will soon take over the handling of passport, visa and consular service applications across the UAE.

The move comes after a selection process carried out by the Indian missions in the country.. Current service providers BLS International Services and SGIVS Global will continue accepting and processing applications until 30 June 2026. That means anyone planning to apply before that date can continue visiting the same centres they already use.

But from 1 July 2026, applications will be routed through a completely new network managed by Al Hind Tours and Travels LLC, which has been chosen as the next outsourced service provider. For many applicants, the biggest question will probably be where they need to go after the switch.

Upcoming Service Centres To Be Spread Across UAE

The new arrangement includes 16 centres covering all seven emirates.

Abu Dhabi will have the largest number, with six locations planned in Al Khalidiya, Al Reem Island, Musaffah, Madinat Zayed, Ghayathi and Al Ain.

Dubai residents will have access to centres in Bur Dubai and Dubai Investment Park.

Meanwhile, Sharjah is set to get two locations in Al Majaz and Rolla.

The remaining centres will serve residents in Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, Khor Fakkan, Kalba and Ras Al Khaimah.

That spread could make services easier to access for people living outside the major cities, especially those who currently travel longer distances to complete paperwork.

More Details Are Yet To Be Revealed

The Embassy said information such as opening hours, appointment booking procedures, service charges and contact details will be announced separately. So while the locations are known, applicants may need to wait a little longer before they get the full picture. Also, officials have advised people not to rely on rumours or unofficial posts online.

Applicants Should Strictly Follow Only Official Updates

Both the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai are urging residents to follow only official websites and verified social media accounts for information related to the transition.

The aim, according to the missions, is to make the handover as smooth as possible while ensuring services continue without disruption.
