Anupam Kher Loves To Eat Rasgullas From This Place

Whether you call it rasgulla or roshogulla, you can’t not love it. Even actor Anupam Kher fondly talked about relishing the dessert on this episode of Sunday Brunch. Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, spoke to the 69-year-old star about his favourite food items, go-to haunts in Mumbai and dietary plans. Anupam Kher’s Go-To Rasgulla Place In Mumbai

Anupam Kher shared that he has been on a strict diet for the last two months. He plans to lose six kilogrammes and is close to being his desired weight. The star revealed that he will gobble on a vegetarian burger after he completes his weight loss journey. This is when Kamiya mentioned his favourite rasgulla place in Mumbai, Govinda’s. 

Being on a strict diet, he responded, “Aapko saare cheezo ki baat abhi karni hai.” Anupam Kher highlighted how eating rasgullas from Govinda’s was a routine in his house! For over eight years, they ordered the softest rasgullas from this shop in Mumbai and relished them.

Slowly and steadily, he became addicted to their rasgullas! He would consume them after lunches and dinners. Govinda’s Rasgullas got the actor to visit his home during shooting days as well. Anupam ji said, “I began going home in the afternoon to enjoy the cold and excellent rasgullas for eight to ten years!” Well, someone has a sweet tooth.

For this episode, we took the actor to Shifuku By Curly Tales to savour a Pan-Asian feast along with a portion of homely cooked food. As Anupam Kher was following a diet, he indulged in tasty roti, daal, and bhindi. 

However, he didn’t shy away from tasting the yummy sushi, dim sum, paneer appetizers, and stir-fries at our restaurant. We were happy to hear praises for the delish food at Shifuku and continued talking about other food choices.
