On one of our recent Sunday Brunch episodes, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, met the iconic 91-year-old singer, Asha Bhosle in Dubai! Not only that, Kamiya even visited Asha’s, the singer’s renowned Indian restaurant in the ‘City of Gold’! Asha Bhosle Gave A Tour Of Her Dubai Restaurant, Asha’s
As soon as you enter the lavish restaurant, Asha’s, you come across numerous white and black photographs of Asha Bhosle. The singer quickly pointed out a picture with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, “Pehle din pradhan mantri bane aur dusre din main unse mili.” She moved on to a lovely picture of her with actor Dev Anand and called him “mera hero”.
There was another frame with the third Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, then an award for Asha’s restaurant and one with Ravi Shankar, the Indian musician and composer. There were more photo frames with Bollywood celebrities.
Her pictures with Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor and more adorned the wall. Kamiya complimented all those precious memories. We loved every corner of Asha’s from its comfy seating arrangements to its bold purple, sage green and golden interiors that perfectly accentuate its contemporary and luxe vibes.

A Picture Of Her Dancing To The Song, “Ek Pal Ka Jeena”
There are innumerable pictures of her kids, family members and more but you can’t miss the oh-so-adorable childhood pictures of Asha Ji. The singer highlighted a photo showcasing 9-year-old Asha with her elder sister. After that, we were fascinated by her 6-month-old picture! She had chubby cheeks, big eyes and furrowed brows and was in her mother’s arms who wasn’t pictured.
While moving to the next section of Asha’s, Kamiya noticed a picture of Asha Bhosle dancing and was curious about it. Asha ji smiled and said, “Hrithik Roshan ka dance kar rahi thi main,” and started singing lines from the song “Ek Pal Ka Jeena”. Upon hearing this Kamiya started doing the hook step of this song. Asha ji confirmed that she did the same steps in that photo. It was quite a wholesome moment.
