International travel may be off the menu with the new delta strain and the, but there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon. Some countries have announced that they will open their borders for the immunised travellers as well as tourists who have not been vaccinated. Here is a list of Asian countries that are welcoming Indian travellers right now.
1. Maldives
Good news for all those who are missing the beaches and the clear blue waters. The Maldives has announced that it will allow tourists from South Asian countries including India from July 15. However, people travelling to the Maldives from South Asian countries from July 15 need to carry a negative COVID-19 PCR test report before entry to the island nation. Furthermore, Maldives will restart issuing of on-arrival tourist visas starting 15th July to tourists travelling from South Asia.

2. Mauritius
As Mauritius opens its doors for travellers on July 15, Indians can opt for visas upon arrival option. To apply for a visa, you would need a confirmed return ticket, proof of hotel booking. You can also apply for a long-stay premium visa that will allow you to stay in Mauritius for up to a year. To qualify for a Premium visa, you must be able to produce proof of your long-stay plans, accommodation, and the purpose of your visit. You must also have sufficient travel and health insurance.

3. South Korea
South Korea has eased relaxed travel rules for Indians. They have done away with the mandatory 14-day quarantine for all travellers who have received both doses of the Covishield vaccine. However, those vaccinated with Covaxin will still have to undergo the mandatory quarantine as the vaccine is not on WHO’s emergency list. 4. Vietnam, Ha Long Bay
If pottering around the wild landscapes and beautiful coastlines of Vietnam had been on your mind, then we have great news for you. Vietnam’s Quang Ninh, home to UNESCO World Heritage Site Ha Long Bay is reducing the mandatory quarantine from 21 to 7 days for all vaccinated foreign travellers and those who have recovered from COVID-19. You should also carry a negative RT-PCR test report done hours prior to entering Vietnam. If you are not vaccinated, you can carry a certified document that mentions that you have been previously infected by the virus.

5. Bangladesh
