The restaurant gives off that rustic-old vintage vibes with a hint of modern touch. Just as you enter the restaurant you will see the front of an autorickshaw, the chair covers are made with bags of rags, a scooter table, a typewriter, empty banta bottles, taps are not your regular taps but medium-sized brass tubs, and more. If you are looking to have authentic Kerala food then you are at the right place! Adaminde Chayakkada, Adam’s Teashop serves on fresh banana leaves which will elevate your food experience. Mind you, if you are having food on banana leaves then please eat with your hands. After you have ordered your Kerala vegetarian thali, they serve you hot water in a brass glass so that you can sip on it while you wait for your food to arrive. It is meant to cleanse your palate.

The thali includes very interesting and palatable items. The food items are Kaalan which is a sweet dish made out of sweet bananas, Beetroot Pachadi which is a spicy yogurt-based dish, Koottukari is a sabzi that includes kaccha banana, beetroot and coconut. Wow, seems like a flavour bomb in your mouth!

The next items on Adaminde Chayakkada, Adam’s Teashop’s veg thali are Bhindi Masala, Coconut Chutney, Cabbage Thoran, Pineapple Curry, Papad, Rice, Sambar, Mango Chutney and Aviyal which is a thick stew of vegetables (usually 13). They also served Payasam, Buttermilk and Rasam. That is a lot for just ₹110 and you will smash this thali, we are sure of it.
